In ear protection

In-ear hearing protection, also known as noise cancelling ear plugs, are a type of hearing protection that are inserted directly into the ear canal to reduce the amount of noise that reaches the eardrum. In-ear hearing protection can be made of different materials, such as foam, silicone, or rubber, and can come in different shapes and sizes to fit different ear canal sizes and shapes. There are different types of in-ear hearing protection, such as disposable foam earplugs, reusable silicone earplugs, electronic in-ear headsets or custom mould in-ear headsets. Some in-ear hearing protection products are designed to have a higher Noise Reduction Rating (NRR), which is a measure of how much noise is blocked by the earplug. In-ear hearing protection with a higher NRR are typically used in louder environments.
